British Leather Combat Vest/Jerkin

for Re-enactment WW2 to Modern .... or just good hard work.

The peace dividend of the end of the cold war resulted in excess military equipment and supplies being made available.  When we were seeking to create a hidden body armor for sword-fighting we found the last of the supply of this useful vest.  We bought them out and now can sell you this protective vest for a fraction of what you'd expect to pay.  New Condition/Never used,

  • Military Green Color
  • The vest has No Pockets
  • Condition is Surplus New, which means it was made a while ago but has never been worn.
  • A great item for those who collect British Military stuff
  • Two Sizes Large & X-Large
  • Made in Britain
  • NSN# 8415-99-978-9935 (L) & 8415-99-978-9936 (XL)
  • Nato Sizes 7080/9505 (L) & 8090/0515 (XL)
Since these were made to be worn over other military fatigues, they tend to run a little bigger than the stated size but this would be expected so that they'd have the proper fit.
For your convenience we are including this

How to read the numbers:
There are four numbers hyphenated with four more numbers. Example: 6070-0510
The first four numbers is the height range (In Centimeters)
The second four numbers is the chest range (In Centimeters)

Height:
160 Centimeters to 170 Centimeters = Short 63" Inches to 67" Inches
170 Centimeters to 180 Centimeters = Regular 67" Inches to 71" Inches
180 Centimeters to 190 Centimeters = Long 71" Inches to 75" Inches

Chest:
90 Centimeter = Small 35" Inches
95 Centimeter = Medium 37" Inches
100 Centimeter = Medium 39" Inches
105 Centimeter = Medium 41" Inches
105 Centimeter = Medium 41" Inches - repeated for size indexing reference
110 Centimeter = Large 43" Inches
115 Centimeter = Large 45" Inches

How it works:
You drop the 1 in the three digit numbers. Example:
90 Centimeter (nothing is dropped in two digit numbers)
95 Centimeter (nothing is dropped in two digit numbers
100 Centimeter, becomes 00
105 Centimeter, becomes 05
110 Centimeter, becomes 10
115 Centimeter, becomes 15

So a Nato number like: 6070-0510
Height: 160 Centimeters to 170 Centimeters = Short 63" Inches to 67" Inches --------- 6070-
Chest: 105 Centimeter, becomes 05 to 110 Centimeter, becomes 10 -=--41" to 43"- -=---0510
