Cosmetic tools of this style date back at least as early as the 6th century in Western Europe.  Ear scoops/spoons are a type of curette that were used to clean the ear canal of ear wax (cerumen).

We offer two models of this novel historical accessory.

  • The Brass Viking era is a cast piece that has a small scoop on one end and a convenient loop on the other which makes it easy to attach to a lace or chain to keep safe and nearby.  Pretty woven pattern decorates the handle and a nice antiqued brass finish. 2 9/16" long x 9/16" wide.
  • The Iron Renaissance era is an anvil worked iron piece that that a small scoop on one end and a cosmetic pic on the other end useful for all manner of grooming purposes.  The shaft has been twisted for ornamentation and to help provide a secure grip while holding the tool.  3 5/8" long x 3/8" wide.
