About This Bascinet
Steel Bascinet Helm designed specifically for SCA and WMA heavy combat. Made in 14 ga. Cold Roll Mild Steel, this helm is the result of over a decade of refinement and improvement resulting in an appealing form with superior fit and function. It is ruggedly intended for full contact. Using a dual pivot, the faceplate is held in place by means of sprung button lock. When depressed this allows the visor to be raised where it is held open by means of a second button lock. So it may be positively secured in either the open or closed position.

These are delivered with a brushed steel finish. They are very "head shaped" and will provide good room for most fighters. They include an integral leather suspension harness that incorporates a well crafted chin strap.
